The Cecil Group served as the design architect, site programmer and site designer for the Oak Bluffs Ferry Terminal. The resulting design solved many pragmatic circulation issues associated with the large number of passengers, cargo semitrailer handling, pick-up and drop-off, and luggage handling. The Cecil Group prepared evaluations of passenger and vehicle flows to determine the most cost effective approach to reconstruction. The firm was also responsible for the design of the ferry terminal building and related ticket window functions. The Cecil Group worked closely with constituent groups to ensure that all new enhancements reflected the historic character of the town and enhanced the travel experience of the terminal’s customers.
